As ESG becomes a global focus for businesses, the challenge for companies is how to turn sustainability from a concept in reports and high-level strategies into something that permeates daily work life. Every year, MacroHI(AROMASE, juliArt) sets aside one day for employees to put aside their regular work and focus on doing something “better for the planet.”
This year, MacroHI gathered 147 employees and 38 friendly stakeholders—including suppliers, banks, B Corp partners, nonprofit collaborators, and cross-industry partners—at the multifunctional gymnasium of Chihlee University of Technology to participate in the fourth annual “Sustainability Consensus Sports Day.” Sixteen teams, composed of both internal staff and external guests, tackled 12 “circular economy-themed challenges,” experiencing sustainability through sports and fostering cross-sector consensus.
Mimi Chien, Sustainability Director at MacroHI, commented: "As a company that values health and well-being, we also believe that true sustainability stems from both individual practice and daily life. Exercise is essential for every MacroHI colleague, so we wanted to combine physical activity with sustainability, letting everyone feel the ESG drive of our brands, AROMASE and juliArt, through action."

The Sports Day was designed and executed in collaboration with the Motivate Team. Through experiential education, abstract sustainability concepts were transformed into tangible challenges, creating Taiwan’s first “Planet Sustainability Sports Day.” From renewable energy to the circular economy, from environmental protection to social value, each station reflected MacroHI’s long-term ESG initiatives, such as using recycled materials, adopting green electricity, recycling water, and obtaining C2C certifications.

At the “Cradle-to-Cradle Challenge,” participants completed physical tasks while assembling sustainability puzzles, testing both knowledge and teamwork. In the “Bottle Hunt” station, participants had to distinguish between recyclable and non-recyclable plastic bottles to score points. These interactive designs helped employees not only remember the answers but also understand the company’s sustainable material standards and intentions.
On the day of the event, many colleagues demonstrated strong team coordination. In the “Team River Crossing” challenge, three-person groups had to balance on rollers while moving forward—testing not only physical strength and rhythm but also real-time communication and strategic adjustment. From exerting physical energy to strategizing together, everyone faced challenges side by side.
In the two weeks leading up to the Sports Day, MacroHI and Motivation Sports launched a “14-Day Sustainability Challenge,” encouraging participants to adopt eco-friendly habits in daily life. In total, participants completed 417 sustainability actions, saving over 206 single-use items and setting the stage for the main event.

During the post-event reflection, all 185 participants gathered to review the day’s challenges and teamwork. Many shared: “It was fun completing challenges with colleagues from different departments,” and “I want to examine my daily life to see what I can make more sustainable.” Supplier partners remarked: “What impressed me most is how everyone fully engaged in each station. Every step required strategy and collaboration—it felt like a real-life microcosm of work.”
These reflections embody the purpose of MacroHI’s Sports Day: to transform sustainability from concept into action, from personal practice to team culture, and ultimately into a core organizational value.
This year, MacroHI successfully completed a shared learning and co-creation challenge with 185 participants, bringing sustainability into both sports and everyday life.
We believe sustainability is not an extra burden—it is a way to enhance the value of MacroHI’s brands, AROMASE and juliArt, improve quality of life, and increase the impact of work. Today, we internalize sustainability through sports; tomorrow, we make it part of everyday life.
In the ESG era, MacroHI continues to demonstrate meaningful actions that define the corporate responsibility of our time.
